Our Family Was Flying on a Make-a-Wish Trip for My Ill Son – Halfway Through the Flight, the Pilot Said, ‘Mike, There’s One Thing About This Trip That You and Your Parents Know Nothing About’

My electric bill nearly doubled, and I couldn’t understand why.

Then one night, I looked outside and saw the answer.

My neighbor Monica was charging her Tesla from the outdoor outlet on my garage.

When I confronted her, she barely looked embarrassed.

“You live alone,” she said. “How much electricity could you possibly need?”

That wasn’t her first boundary problem.

Months earlier, my garden gnome had disappeared and somehow ended up in her yard painted blue. She’d also borrowed my lawn mower without asking.

I had stayed quiet every time.

Not anymore.

The next day, I took my gnome back and placed it beside the outlet. Then I set up a little surprise.

That night, Monica returned with her charging cable.

When she tried moving the gnome, she triggered a can of pink paint that spilled all over her.

Her screaming brought half the neighborhood outside.

And while everyone recorded, Monica accidentally exposed exactly what she’d been doing.

Then another neighbor mentioned the ladder she’d “borrowed” for months.

Two weeks later, Monica’s landlord visited me.

He’d seen the video and decided to investigate further.

She was behind on utility payments and had damaged the rental property.

Her lease wasn’t renewed.

A month later, I watched her move out.

My gnome was finally back where it belonged.

And I learned something important:

Kindness doesn’t mean letting people walk all over you.
