What should have been the happiest day of Emily and James’s lives nearly turned into tragedy in a matter of seconds.
Their wedding venue looked perfect—sunshine, flowers, music, and a beautiful wooden bridge over a pond. But hidden beneath its charming appearance, the bridge had been weakened by years of decay and was on the verge of collapse.
Just before James stepped onto it, his retired German Shepherd, Bella, suddenly became agitated. Normally calm and obedient, she growled, tugged at his pant leg, and refused to let him move forward.
Moments later, a loud crack echoed through the garden as the center of the bridge collapsed into the water below. Guests screamed in shock, realizing James could have been standing directly on it.
