I Showed Up to My Wedding and Nobody Was There — Then My Mom Sent Me a Screenshot That Explained Everything

I spent fourteen months planning my wedding.

My fiancé, Andrew, and I had booked a beautiful little chapel outside town. Everything was arranged weeks in advance.

On Saturday morning, I got dressed, had my makeup done, and drove there with my cousin.

But when we arrived, the parking lot was empty.

The doors were locked.

I checked the time.

We weren’t early.

I called Andrew. No answer.

Then Mom. Nothing.

Finally, my maid of honor answered.

“Where are you? Everyone’s waiting!”

I nearly started crying.

“I’m at the chapel!”

She went silent.

“What chapel? The ceremony moved to the Lakeside Hotel!”

I had absolutely no idea what she meant.

A minute later, Mom sent me a screenshot.

Apparently, an electrical problem had forced the chapel to close that morning.

The wedding coordinator had arranged another venue and sent an emergency group message.

But there was one problem.

**My phone number wasn’t included.**

The coordinator had accidentally used my old number from our original booking.

Everyone assumed someone else had told me.

Andrew had been trying to reach me too, but his phone died while coordinating the last-minute changes.

My cousin drove me to the hotel.

I arrived nearly an hour late.

Andrew was standing outside looking absolutely miserable.

When he saw me, he ran over and hugged me.

We got married that afternoon.

And now our family jokes that **I was the only person who wasn’t invited to my own wedding.**
