A Husband Announced He Was in Love with Another Woman and Planned to Live in Both Houses – When He Started Packing His Bags, His Wife Taught Him a Lesson

My husband sat across from me and calmly said, “I’m in love with another woman, but I still love you, so I’ll just live in both houses.”
I thought Callum was joking.
He wasn’t.
His plan was simple: Monday through Wednesday with me and our five-year-old son, Kieran, then Thursday through Sunday with Elena.
He called it a “compromise.”
I called it what it was—an announcement.
That weekend, while Callum stayed with Elena, I wrote down everything his perfect schedule ignored: school pickups, dinners, bedtime, bills, emergencies, parenting, and our marriage.
When he returned Monday, expecting everything to continue normally, I handed him my own schedule.
Monday through Wednesday wasn’t labeled “husband.”
It was labeled “Kieran.”
If Callum wanted scheduled days, those days came with parenting responsibilities.
Then I told him something else: if he continued seeing Elena, we were separated. No shared bedroom. No meals waiting. No affection simply because it was “his day.”
Soon I discovered he had also lied to Elena, telling her our marriage was basically over.
He eventually ended things with her and said, “I choose you.”
But I asked one question:
“If I had accepted your schedule, would you still be with her?”
He couldn’t answer.
So I made my own choice.
“We’re separating for now.”
For once, the next decision belonged to me.
