My Husband Called My Little Bakery ‘Just a Hobby’ in Front of His Family – The Next Morning, His Boss Walked Into My Shop

My husband Hudson called my bakery a “hobby” in front of his family.

I had spent years building it from scratch, but according to him, it wasn’t a real business compared to his corporate job.

The next morning, his boss, Grant, unexpectedly walked into my bakery.

He offered me a six-month contract for 200 pastries every Monday.

At first, I thought Hudson had arranged it.

He hadn’t.

Grant explained that his assistant had been buying my pastries for months because everyone at the office loved them.

Then came the real surprise.

Hudson had been telling coworkers that HE owned my bakery and that I simply managed it for him.

Worse, he had submitted a proposal positioning himself between my bakery and his company.

His proposed budget was nearly ten times what I would normally charge.

When I confronted him, he insisted he was “helping” me.

Then I asked the question he couldn’t answer:

“If it’s only a hobby when I’m successful, why does it become your business when there’s money involved?”

Silence.

The corporate contract came directly to me.

My pastries earned it.

My work built the bakery.

Hudson hadn’t made it legitimate by attaching his name to it.

It had always been a real business.

And it had always been mine.
