My Husband Invited 15 Friends over to Watch Football While Our Daughter Was Sick and I Hadn’t Slept in Two Days, Saying, ‘That’s Not My Problem’ – So I Smiled and Did Something That Made Him Scream

I had spent two sleepless days caring for our sick six-year-old daughter when my husband announced 15 friends were coming over to watch football.
I begged him to move the party somewhere else.
Emily was still weak, I hadn’t slept, and she needed quiet.
He refused.
Then he asked me to cook wings, garlic bread, and meatballs for everyone.
I smiled and said, “Sure.”
Instead, I made chicken soup, smoothies, toast, and cookies—for Emily.
When his friends arrived, I learned Glen had told them Emily was basically recovered and that I actually wanted everyone there.
That wasn’t true.
Then the cheering downstairs woke Emily.
“My head hurts,” she whispered. “Can they go somewhere else?”
That was enough.
I printed screenshots of Glen’s messages and added four lines:
Emily is still sick.
I did not approve this party.
I asked Glen to move it.
He refused.
Then I put the pages inside a snack bag and handed it to him in front of everyone.
“PAIGE!” he shouted.
“The truth,” I replied.
His friends immediately started leaving.
“You’re humiliating me!” Glen snapped.
“No,” I said. “I’m correcting you.”
The next morning, he finally admitted he had lied.
I told him things had to change.
Parenting wasn’t something he should do only when I reached my breaking point.
And for once, he listened.
