My Sister Kept Walking Around My Husband in Just a Towel and Called It a ‘Test’ – Then One Day, He Did Something That Made Her Turn Bright Red

My sister Kayla moved in with us after her six-year relationship ended.
At first, everything was fine. Then she started walking through our kitchen wearing only a towel.
I asked her several times to put on a robe because my husband, Andrew, was usually downstairs.
She ignored me.
Then she admitted why.
“Think of it as a test,” she said. “If Andrew can be tempted, wouldn’t you rather know?”
I was furious.
A few days later, she did it again. This time, Andrew pulled out his phone.
“Congratulations,” he said. “You passed my test.”
Kayla frowned.
“What test?”
“Whether you’re ready to live with roommates.”
He had found three rooms for rent nearby.
Later, while driving home from viewing one, I finally asked Kayla why she needed Andrew to fail.
That’s when she admitted the truth.
Her ex hadn’t cheated, abused her, or betrayed her.
“He just said he didn’t want our life anymore,” she whispered.
She had been testing Andrew because she desperately wanted proof that all relationships eventually failed for some obvious reason.
“I wasn’t trying to take Andrew from you,” she said. “I just needed to know.”
I understood her heartbreak—but reminded her that pain didn’t give her permission to ignore my boundaries.
The next morning, Kayla came downstairs wearing an old robe.
She reached for the coffee filters herself and smiled.
“See? Back on my feet.”
This time, we all laughed.
