Trump Halts U.S. Bombing Plans Against Iran, Shares Details of Agreement

U.S. President Donald Trump has announced that he has halted the planned American bombing campaign against Iran.

In a statement to the media, Trump said that Iranian leaders have agreed to engage in high-level talks.

For that reason, he said, the military strikes that had been planned for today have been called off.

“Discussions are underway and have been approved by the parties involved, including the United States, Israel, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Turkey, Pakistan, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, Egypt, and others,” Trump said.

“The naval blockade is fully in effect and will remain in place until the agreement is finalized,” he added.
