I Thought My Son Was in Danger—The Truth Was Worse

I caught my teenage son chatting with a much older woman online, and alarm bells went off instantly. When I told my wife, she brushed it off—“Teenage boys do weird things.” But something didn’t sit right with me.
So I did something drastic—I tracked the woman down.
When I got to her house, the door was slightly open. I stepped inside… and froze. A large corkboard covered the wall—filled with photos and screenshots. Some were of me. Some of my wife. Even my daughter.
My stomach dropped.
Then the woman appeared. Calm. Almost like she was expecting me.
What she said next hit harder than anything I’d imagined.
She claimed to be a private investigator—hired by my wife.
My wife suspected I was cheating and had been trying to set a trap. She used our son’s social media account to bait me, hoping I’d respond and expose myself.
But I never did.
My son did.
The whole plan backfired in the worst way. Our son got pulled into something he didn’t understand… and my wife crossed a line I never thought possible.
I walked out of that house realizing the real betrayal wasn’t what I feared—it was much closer to home.
