Christina Applegate shares raw update from hospital after kidney infection
Christina Applegate, who has multiple sclerosis, was recently hospitalized for a severe kidney infection that spread to both kidneys. She shared on her “MeSsy” podcast that she spent seven days in the hospital and is now home receiving treatment, though her stomach issues remain unresolved. Applegate first noticed symptoms during a Europe trip and sought immediate hospital care upon returning, determined to find answers. An emergency CT scan revealed the infection, requiring intravenous antibiotics. She co-hosts the podcast with Jamie-Lynn Sigler, also diagnosed with MS, a condition affecting the brain and spinal cord, causing issues with vision, movement, sensation, or balance, per the NHS.
