Christina Applegate, who has multiple sclerosis, was recently hospitalized for a severe kidney infection that spread to both kidneys. Applegate first noticed symptoms during a Europe trip and sought immediate hospital care upon returning, determined to find answers. An emergency CT scan revealed the infection, requiring intravenous antibiotics. She co-hosts the podcast with Jamie-Lynn Sigler, also diagnosed with MS, a condition affecting the brain and spinal cord, causing issues with vision, movement, sensation, or balance, per the NHS.
