referencing his memoir, No Time Like The Future, where he described Gus as his “wonder dog.” Fox credited Gus with helping him recover after 2018 spinal surgery, recalling how Gus’s encouragement aided his return to walking. “I didn’t rescue Gus. He rescued me,” Fox wrote, highlighting their deep bond. The actor noted that Gus’s presence alleviated the isolation of chronic illness, acting as a “force multiplier” of companionship. The loss leaves a significant void, but Gus’s love and memories will remain with Fox.
