A Strange Dog Sat at My Son’s Grave Every Day – One Day, I Decided to Follow It

For months, a mysterious dog visited my son’s grave every Sunday. When I followed him one afternoon, I discovered a secret that changed my life.
My son Caleb died in a car accident three years ago. He was only 19. Since then, I’ve visited his grave every Sunday, sometimes bringing flowers, sometimes simply talking to him.
Several months ago, I noticed a scruffy dog lying beside his headstone. He appeared every Sunday, always in the same spot.
Curious, I asked the groundskeeper about him, but nobody knew where he came from.
One afternoon, I decided to follow him.
After nearly twenty minutes, the dog stopped outside a weathered house. When the door opened, I froze.
Standing there was Sadie, Caleb’s former girlfriend.
She invited me inside, where a little boy suddenly appeared.
His eyes, smile, and crooked eyebrow looked exactly like Caleb’s.
“His name is Beau,” Sadie whispered. “He’s Caleb’s son.”
I could barely breathe.
Sadie explained she’d discovered her pregnancy after Caleb’s death but had been too frightened to tell me.
Then she revealed something else: the dog, Jasper, had belonged to Caleb.
He’d been visiting his old friend’s grave.
When Beau learned who I was, he hugged me and asked, “Are you my grandma?”
The following Sunday, we visited Caleb together.
For the first time in three years, I left holding hope instead of grief.
