Prince William and Kate Middleton slammed by PETA in brutal statement over his birthday portrait

Prince William and Kate Middleton have faced criticism from animal rights organization PETA after sharing a photo featuring their dog Orla’s puppies.

The Princess of Wales posted the image for William’s birthday, showing him sitting outdoors with their English Cocker Spaniel and three puppies. While many royal fans praised the sweet family moment, PETA strongly objected.

PETA Vice President Elisa Allen accused the couple of being “staggeringly out of touch,” arguing that breeding puppies contributes to the animal homelessness crisis while shelters are already filled with dogs needing homes.

The organization pointed to King Charles III and Queen Camilla as an alternative example, noting that they have adopted rescue dogs.

William and Kate welcomed Orla into their family in 2020 following the death of their previous dog, Lupo.

It remains unclear how many of Orla’s puppies the royal couple plans to keep.
