My Wife Left After Learning Our Newborn Son Had Down Syndrome – I Hated Her for 18 Years Until Last Night

For eighteen years, Arthur believed his wife, Goldi, had abandoned him and their newborn son because Leo had Down syndrome.

After giving Arthur sole custody, Goldi disappeared without explanation. Arthur raised Leo alone, carrying resentment through every surgery, therapy appointment, birthday, and difficult night. Their elderly neighbor, Johnson, became family and helped care for Leo.
