Arrogant Passenger Reclined His Seat in My Face –
I Gave Him Payback That Made Him Retreat Fast

At 16 and over six feet tall, airplane seats are torture. On a packed flight home, the man in front of me reclined his seat fully, crushing my knees. I politely asked him to adjust, but he refused, saying, “I paid for this seat.” A flight attendant couldn’t sway him either. Frustrated, I crunched pretzels loudly, letting crumbs “accidentally” fall into his hair. After a fake sneeze, he grumbled
and raised his seat, giving me legroom. The flight attendant gave a subtle thumbs-up, and my mom called it “clever but sneaky.” It wasn’t mature, but it worked. Next time, maybe we’ll try first class.
