I Came Home From a Work Trip To Find 100 Roses Had Been Delivered to My Wife – Then I Saw the Note in One Bouquet

When I returned home from a week-long work trip and saw my front porch buried under a hundred roses, my first thought was that someone was trying to steal my wife.
Jane looked just as shocked as I was. Then I found a small envelope tucked into one of the bouquets.
Inside, in a child’s uneven handwriting, were four simple words:
“Please don’t quit.”
As we looked closer, we realized every bouquet carried a note from one of Jane’s students or their families.
For months, I had watched my wife slowly lose herself. She loved teaching, but endless stress and feeling unappreciated had pushed her to the brink of quitting. Just before my trip, she had sent an honest message to parents admitting she didn’t know how much longer she could keep going.
They heard her.
One by one, we opened the cards.
“Thank you for helping Ethan believe in himself.”
“You’re my favorite teacher.”
“School is better when you’re there.”
The final card, signed by dozens of families, simply read:
“The world needs teachers like you. Please don’t give up on us because we haven’t given up on you.”
By the end of the evening, our home was overflowing with flowers—but more importantly, with proof that Jane’s kindness had changed countless lives.
The next morning, she smiled for the first time in months.
“I think I need to show up on Monday.”
