When you find the person you want to spend forever with, you accept both their strengths and their flaws. But there’s always one question that can spark a little curiosity—or jealousy: “How many people have you been with before me?”
A newlywed husband finally worked up the courage to ask his wife that very question while they were lying in bed.
“Honey,” he said gently, “be honest with me. How many men have you been with?”
She stared silently at the ceiling.
Worried he had upset her, he apologized. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable. I just thought we could be open with each other.”
Still no response.
Trying to make things better, he moved closer, kissed her, and reassured her everything was okay.
Finally, she turned to him with a frustrated look and said:
“Oh, come on! You made me lose count!”
