I Gave Birth to Healthy Twin Girls – After My Husband Was Left Alone with Them for a Day, He Demanded, ‘I’m Sorry, but We Have to Give Them Away!’

I thought becoming a mother meant everything had finally fallen into place—until the day I came home and heard my babies crying nonstop while my husband just sat there, staring into space.

I rushed to comfort our newborn twins, confused and shaken. When I asked what happened, my husband said something I will never forget: “I’m sorry, but we have to give them away.”

At first, I thought he was joking. He wasn’t.

After hours alone with the babies, he had panicked. One cried, then the other, and he felt overwhelmed. But it got worse—I noticed his mother had been there. She had filled his head with doubt, suggesting our daughters were “too much” and even mentioning adoption options.

That’s when something inside me snapped.

I told him clearly: our children are not a problem to solve. Fear is normal—but abandoning them is not an option. Instead of listening to me or asking for help, he let someone else turn one difficult day into a life-altering decision.

So I made a choice.

I took my daughters and went to my mother’s house, where I knew we were safe and supported. Then I told him the truth he needed to hear: now he has to decide whether he wants to be their father—or just his mother’s son.
