Woman Charges People $1 for Every “Are You Pregnant Yet?” Question — Internet Applauds Her Genius
Some topics should be off-limits in casual conversation, especially comments about weight, exhaustion, or when someone plans to have a baby. One Redditor got fed up with constant pressure about pregnancy and found a creative way to shut it down.
She and her husband have been married for six years and plan to have kids someday, but their friends and family kept pushing them about when it would happen. Tired of the nonstop questions, she created a “Pregnancy Jar.” Like a swear jar, anyone who asked about babies had to put in a dollar.
At first, people were confused but quickly got the message. For four peaceful months, the questions stopped.
Then, at a family dinner, her brother asked when she planned to have kids. She calmly walked over with the jar and asked for a dollar. Though embarrassed, he paid.
Her mom later scolded her for being childish, but she replied that people should stop asking such personal questions in the first place.
