Breaking: Hospital Locked Down After Active Shooter Report

Early Thursday morning at Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital in Troy, Michigan, reports of an active shooter sparked chaos and a full lockdown around 7 a.m. law enforcement responded after shots were fired in the hospital’s parking garage.
A 25-year-old man was shot twice in the arm and is in stable condition after treatment.
Initial fear of an active shooter led to shelter-in-place orders and hospital lockdowns.
Police later determined the incident was a targeted attack between two hospital employees in the parking structure, not a random mass shooting.
The suspect, also a hospital employee, was arrested nearby in Macomb Township later that morning.
Police say this appears to be an isolated workplace incident, and the injured victim is recovering.
