The Strange Midnight Moment That Taught Me to Listen to My Intuition

Late one night, I heard a soft rustling near my window. The house was silent, and the sound felt strangely loud. Uneasy, I picked up my phone and called the police.
The dispatcher answered, “You already called.”
I froze. I told him this was my first call. After a pause, he explained that minutes earlier, someone had phoned from my number, reporting the same sound at the window.
The room suddenly felt very still. Not terrifying — just unsettling in a quiet, unexplainable way. The dispatcher assured me officers were already on their way to check the area.
I thanked him and waited. Soon, the night settled back into silence. By morning, everything looked normal.
But the moment stayed with me.
Sometimes life whispers twice, just to make sure we’re listening.
