My Husband Was Taking His Female Colleagues to the Woodland Cabin I’d Inherited from My Mom – He Had No Idea What Was Coming

My husband used my mother’s cabin to cheat with his coworkers—but catching him was only the beginning.

I’m Ashley, 33, and when life overwhelmed me, I escaped to my mom’s cabin. She died three years ago, and that place was sacred to me. I kept it exactly as she left it. I never invited my husband, Liam. He hated it—too quiet, no Wi-Fi, no comforts.

So when I drove up one Tuesday after a brutal day and saw his car in the driveway, my stomach dropped.

Through the window, I saw him on the couch with another woman, relaxed, laughing, like the cabin belonged to him. I didn’t confront him. I installed cameras instead.

What I saw shattered me. Different women. Sometimes coworkers. Always the same routine. Then I found his notebook—a ledger. Names. Ratings. Comments. My mother’s sanctuary had become his private playground.

I stayed calm. Quiet. When he suggested a “reconnecting” weekend at the cabin, I agreed.

That night, another woman arrived.

I greeted them both, placed printed pages from his notebook on the table, and showed him I knew everything. I gave him a choice: tell the truth, or face consequences he couldn’t control.

He admitted it wasn’t love—it was power.

I didn’t expose him. I didn’t need to. His world unraveled on its own.

I changed the locks. He moved out. The cabin is mine again—quiet, whole, protected.

Some betrayals don’t need revenge.

They just need an ending.
