Old Men Sitting on a Bench… We Laughed Until We Cried

Two old men, Harold and Ben, sat on a park bench when a young woman jogging past suddenly stopped, marched over, and snapped,
“Why are you grinning at me, you pervert?”

Harold smiled sweetly.
“My dear, I wasn’t smiling at you. I was remembering what it felt like to run without pulling a muscle.”

The girl blinked—then burst out laughing.
And that was only the beginning.

Her name was Kayla. Within minutes, she was sitting on the bench with Harold and Ben, laughing as they warned her about the future:
“One day your knees will sound like breakfast cereal,” Harold said.
“And if I drop something,” Ben added, “it stays there.”

Kayla’s boyfriend jogged over looking panicked, but Harold waved him off.
“Relax, son. We’re old, not dangerous. The only thing we could kidnap is a nap.”

Their banter was so funny that people passing by started gathering around. Soon the old men were offering “life wisdom” to the crowd:

To the boyfriend: “Love your girl, not your ego.”
To a tired mom: “Nap when the baby naps. The laundry can wait.”
To a dog walker: “Shoulders back. Show him who buys the kibble.”

When Kayla asked for the secret to a long, happy life, Harold said:
“Easy. Don’t stop laughing. That’s when you start getting old.”

Even a park officer showed up after someone reported “elderly men harassing a jogger.”
Kayla yelled, laughing, “They bullied me with life advice!”

Before she jogged off, she promised,
“I’ll see you two tomorrow. You’re my new emotional-support grandpas.”

And as the park quieted again, Harold sighed with satisfaction.
“See, Ben? We still got it.”

“Yes,” Ben said, smiling. “Turns out the world still needs us.”
