NEW: Long-Awaited Melania Trump Documentary Gets Premiere Date

First Lady Melania Trump has seen her immigrant success story maligned and manipulated by her critics for decades. But after years in the making, a new documentary will finally tell the truth about her arrival to the U.S., her breakout modeling career, and her auspicious marriage to Donald Trump.

“Melania,” which is set for release on Jan. 30, tells the tale of the Slovenia-born actress whose poise and pulchritude brought her in 1996 to the U.S., where she toiled for a decade before earning her citizenship. The model first met her future husband in 1998, and they married in a lavish ceremony seven years later.

Amazon MGM Studios has underwritten “Melania” and will oversee its distribution across U.S. movie theaters and on Prime Video, which counts over 200 million members worldwide.

In a nod to accuracy, Melania was tapped by the studio to serve as executive producer. The Brett Ratner-directed documentary has been teased since January. It will offer “unprecedented access to the 20 days leading up to the 2025 presidential inauguration — through the eyes of the first lady-elect herself,” Amazon MGM Studios announced on Thursday.
