Donald Trump says authorities have found Charlie Kirk’s killer, telling Fox News:
“With a high degree of certainty, we have him in custody.”
He said “somebody very close to him turned him in” and expects officials to give an update later today.
This follows a new FBI and Utah officials’ video showing the suspect fleeing the scene. Police also released images of a “person of interest” wearing a black T-shirt with a US flag and Converse shoes.
Kirk’s widow, Erika, was comforted by Usha Vance, wife of Vice-President JD Vance, as his casket was flown to Arizona.
