FBI confirms ‘breakthrough’ as manhunt for Charlie Kirk shooter continues

Conservative activist Charlie Kirk was fatally shot at Utah Valley University on Wednesday in a targeted attack. The manhunt for the college-aged suspect continues, with the FBI and Utah Public Safety Department exhausting all resources.
On Thursday, authorities revealed a breakthrough: a high-powered, bolt-action rifle and a footprint were found in a wooded area. FBI agent Robert Bohls confirmed they have an image of the shooter, to be released soon, but could not comment on specifics due to the ongoing investigation. He believes the community is not at risk.
As of Monday, over 130 tips have been received, and Bohls urged anyone with video or images to contact the FBI, assuring all leads are being investigated. Utah Public Safety Commissioner Beau Mason, who spoke with Kirk’s widow, Erika, called the event “heinous” and unrepresentative of Utah, vowing to catch the perpetrator.
Our thoughts are with Charlie Kirk’s family.
