While tidying the house, a mother was approached by her young son, Timmy, who was in tears.
“What’s wrong, sweetie?” she asked.
“Mom, I broke a flower pot while playing soccer inside,” Timmy admitted.
Sighing, the mother tried to stay calm. “Timmy, how many times have I told you not to play soccer in the house?”
“I know, Mom,” Timmy said, “but it wasn’t my fault—the ball just flew out of control!”
She nodded. “Accidents happen, but next time, be more careful.”
Timmy ran off to play but soon came back. “Mom, promise you won’t be mad,” he said.
“Alright, I promise,” she replied.
Timmy took a deep breath: “I also broke the window… but I learned something!”
Raising an eyebrow, she asked, “What lesson?”
Grinning sheepishly, he said, “Next time, I’ll play outside.”
